WEDNESDAY 31st April 2010: (7wks 2 days)What awful weather, from a warm, promising weekend, and the start of British Summer time, and now ruddy cold, wet and windy, however at least we haven't got the 18" of snow that they have up north.
Trio is blooming, as I expected, she's slightly quieter this week and spends a lot of time stretched out by my feet. I love nothing better then rubbing her tummy the expression of bliss on her face, and I loving feeling the fluttering from the puppies as they wriggle into a more comfortable position. The whelping box and nursery are ready but Trio still wants to get into her cage and not the box at night. I will leave her a few more days and then will lock up her cage so that she has to use the whelping box at bed time.
Trio's shape has not changed as much this week, her measurements have stayed the same but her stomach is tighter and if you run your hands lightly over her belly you can feel the back of some of the pups, so I know there are at least two puppies. Only another 12 days to go.
