THURSDAY 22nd April: This morning when I popped my head inside the whelping box, they were all asleep I put my hand just in front of Benny's nose, he woke and started to air sniff, then got excited and started to follow the scent of my hand as I moved it, his head high in the air, when he eventually caught up with my hand, and I had lowered it back into the whelping box, he climbed into it and started to chew my finger, his little tail wagging. The others woke up and also jostled to get into my hand, then mass play broke out, with puppies chewing at noses and ears of their siblings and benny grabbed my sleeve and was trying to play tuggy (obviously no pressure, but the movement and inclination was all there.) Over night not much has changed with the eyes, its still only Swipper who has made the effort, and Dora's eyes can be seen through a tiny slit.
